Australia ‘not alone’ in facing economic challenges

Business Council of Australia Chief Executive Jennifer Westacott says Australia is going through a difficult time and is “not alone” in facing economic challenges.

Australia's annual rate of inflation has jumped to its highest level since June 2001 with petrol, food, building materials, and shipping costs all contributing to inflation in the economy.

“We are in a better position than other countries,” Ms Westacott told Sky News Australia.

“The challenge is what do we do to fix our skill shortages."
